About Me

My introduction

As a Certified Project Management Professional and UPenn graduate with 10 years of experience in the energy sector, Scarlett Luis has honed her skills in improving products and processes. After starting her career as an Electrical Engineer, she transitioned to becoming a Product Leader, thanks to her strong technical and business acumen.

Scarlett's passion for education and empowering underrepresented groups has led her to coach college students and recent graduates in career development, job search strategies, and interview preparation. She's on a mission to bridge the gap in access to education, resources, and opportunities for first-generation college graduates, first-generation professionals, and students from low-income families. This comes from her own experience as a first-generation college graduate, first-generation professional, and the first engineer in her family.

When she's not improving products or processes, Scarlett can be found coaching and speaking to aspiring STEM professionals or volunteering for causes that support economic empowerment. She believes in helping as many people as possible navigate their unknowns when pursuing a higher-education degree or career.

Testimonials

What my clients are saying

Alani Verges

I was feeling lost and unsure about my resume when I approached Scarlett. During my time as a Graduate student, I had issues with my university’s career services department. Each time I would meet with my advisors, they would suggest I use an AI platform to review my resume. Having been unsatisfied with their responses, I turned to Scarlett for help. Scarlett understood my concerns with my resume and considered what I wanted to pursue in the future.... Stepping away from my university’s approaches, Scarlett reviewed my resume line-by-line and offered valuable insight.

She was incredibly supportive and helped me identify my weaknesses when crafting a resume. We tailored a plan together, which included resume workshops, networking advice, and job-hunting strategies. Thanks to her guidance and expertise, I felt more confident during the job application process. We met in a timely manner and went through my resume as thoroughly as possible. I'm so grateful for the career services she provided and highly recommend her to anyone looking for career support. She is extremely professional, and she goes above and beyond with her services. She continues to be an individual I turn to for career advice time and time again.

Edward Zhang

Scarlett was an essential help as a coach and mentor over the course of our senior capstone design project. Her wealth of industry experience helped us learn how to manage a design project from the ground up, and she provided both technical and project management support over the year we worked together. Outside of our project, she provided helpful career development tips to help guide our job search and prepare us for life after graduation.

Luis Rivera

Scarlett provided exceptional feedback on my résumé along with insightful tips that are crafted for the modern job search and interviewing landscape.

Tyree Thomas

I had the privilege of collaborating with Scarlett throughout my senior design course. Scarlett's steadfast support and significant contributions were pivotal in successfully navigating and completing the project, creating an exceptional overall experience. Not only did Scarlett ensure adherence to the schedule, but she also dedicated extensive time each week to prepare me and my team for the final presentation. Beyond being an advisor, Scarlett served as a... mentor, guiding me in professional resume development and interview preparation for my post-graduation career. To this day, Scarlett remains a trusted mentor and life coach, contributing to my ongoing career success. She is truly exceptional.

Ebony Bland

During my college engineering capstone project, Scarlett Luis served as my mentor. She guided my group and me through the engineering process and taught us how to work effectively in a team. Scarlett's mentorship didn't end with the program. She continued to provide me with valuable career advice even after our project had concluded.
